Still many people have an encounter or two with hemorrhoids; especially pregnant women. But by midlife hemorrhoids can just be an awful fact of life. By age 50, half the nation’s population will have some experience with the classic symptoms of hemorrhoids and they will tell you the symptoms are not at all fun.
These classic symptoms include rectal pain, itching, bleeding and even a prolapse which is a perturbation through the anal canal.
What Are these Things?
In truth everyone has hemorrhoids; these are clusters of veins that lie beneath the mucous membrains in the lowest part of the rectum. When these veins become swollen like varicose veins they cause hemorrhoids.
