Essential oils come in a variety of different aromas, and I’ve used them to relax, for ambiance and for any special occasion, but it wasn’t until just recently that I learned that these have special medicinal qualities too; for instance, did you know that essential oils can help relieve anxiety.
“Sure that’s what all those natural medicine quacks say,” you are thinking. But actually this finding was conducted by the University of Maryland Medical Center; in other words a serious medical study suggests that essential oils have certain positive effects on people that are overanxious.
Apparently there are small receptors in your nose, and while these take in the aroma they also communicate with your brain. The research goes on to say that when you breathe in these molecules they stimulate bran health and emotional wellbeing.
For me this was an important discovery, as I’ve been overanxious ever since I was a child. As a student I even used to throw up continuously before an exam, I got so anxious. Today, there are times when I suffer from insomnia, from nerves and just can’t seem to sleep, all as a result of anxiety. But since I’ve been using the essential oils, I now have a way to minimize or reduce the effects of this over-anxiousness I suffer from.
Anxiety is terrible but it’s not going to kill you and you can make it go away with the right essential oils. The following is an effective list of essential oils.

Combine Lavender with other oils such as orange for a more intense aroma. Then if you mix a few drops of lavender with orange, the combination can reduce anxiety.
This is an essential oil that makes you feel good; it improves your mood and in doing so eliminates anxiety. Add a few drops to a cotton ball and allow the aroma to seep into the room. But if you want a more intense sense of wellbeing use it in a small diffuser.
